Color Category Winner – Sydney Scheidemantel
Efficient. Valuable. Knowledgeable. Caring. Delicate. Hard Working. Our school athletes use these words to describe the subject of my photo, Lucas, our Athletic Trainer. He is an unsung hero. Lucas puts in early mornings with football at 5 am and to 9 pm with volleyball and all other sports. Never does Lucas complain about his hours or if a parent or coach calls him after hours with a question or a suspected injury. Our athletes would not be able to perform at the caliber they do without the hard work and dedication Lucas gives to each athlete and every program. In my photo, you will see Lucas watching our girls' volleyball team against one of our biggest rivals. Lucas is at every home game, regardless of the sport or level. On Friday nights, he gives up time with his wife to spend it with the football team to make sure our athletes know they are in good hands. If a team makes it to a playoff game, he will be willing to travel to make sure the athletes know they are his top priority.
