With the help of funding from the Goethe Institute, the School of International Letters and Cultures and the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies welcome Professor Dirk Hoerder. Hoerder is professor emeritus of history in the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies at ASU. He is an award-winning author of numerous books and articles including "Migrations and Belongings" (Cambridge, Mass: Harvard Univ. Press, 2014), "To Know Our Many Selves Changing Across Time and Space:“ From the Study of Canada to Canadian Studies (Edmonton: Athabasca Univ. Press, 2010), and "Cultures in Contact: World Migrations in the Second Millennium" (Durham, N.C.: Duke Univ. Press, 2002). He currently resides in Vienna, Austria.
