So what are you going to do with that? English majors, history majors, language majors and more have heard the question a million times.
But the truth is that you can do a lot with a humanities degree. Humanities majors have gone on to become politicians, CEOs, journalists, film directors, scientists, activists, academics and more.
Join a panel of alumni from the humanities division at The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to hear their stories of where their humanities degrees took them, and how their studies have positively influenced their careers.
Panelists will include:
- Paul Bergelin, a history alum and research analyst for the AZ House of Representatives Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee and Land, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.
- Luu Nguyen, an English alum (with a minor in film and media studies) and senior video editor for ASU's Enterprise Brand Strategy and Management.
- Billy Pierre, a political science alum (with a minor in French and a certificate in international studies) and an immigration court interpreter.
- Amanda Ventura Zink, an English alum and public affairs manager at Waymo.
- Hannah Willes, a philosophy alum and research analyst at the Arizona State Senate Natural Resource, Energy and Water Committee.
Remaining panelists will be announced soon.
In-person attendees will be provided with a boxed lunch. A remote viewing option will also be available.
This event is part of The College's Humanities Week 2022.
