The focus of current migration debates in Germany and the U.S. has been on the impact of migration on receiving nations. Join our roundtable discussion and talk to experts.Our debate will place more emphasis on reasons why people are leaving their countries in Latin America and Africa. What triggers migration and what can the U.S. and Germany do to fight reasons for flight, expulsion and migration? Which historical ideas on migration as well as Africa and Latin America shape German and American policies?
