Biography

Ben Phillips is an assistant professor in the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies. His research focuses on perception and social cognition. Currently, he is studying various aspects of 'theory of mind': the ability to represent the mental states of others. He is interested in how this ability evolved, how it develops, and how it is modulated by cultural factors.
